Blog Post #8: 14 COMMANDMENTS TO ELIMINATE GANG SHEET UPLOAD ERRORS
Share
Better Files = Better Prints. To avoid production delays, save your money, and prevent system errors, check these 14 simple rules before uploading your file (see full details inside Blog #2: Eliminating Gang Sheet Upload Errors):
-
[ ]1. Exact Sheet Width: Set your gang sheet width to exactly 24 Inches so it fits our printing machines perfectly. -
[ ]2. Real 300 DPI Resolution: Always use 300 DPI to keep your graphics and text razor-sharp. -
[ ]3. Transparent PNG-24 Format: Save your final file as a PNG-24 with a clear, transparent background. -
[ ]4. Use CMYK Color Mode: Switch your software to CMYK Mode before exporting. This ensures the printed ink colors match your screen (see Blog #6: Color Accuracy). -
[ ]5. 0.5-Inch Safe Spacing: Leave a 0.5-inch gap between different designs so you can cut them apart safely with scissors or blades. -
[ ]6. Absolutely No Screenshots: Never use phone or web screenshots. They get blurry and pixelated when printed on fabric. -
[ ]7. No Blurry Stretching: Do not stretch small, low-quality images to make them bigger. Always design at the exact size you want to print. -
[ ]8. Delete White Background Boxes: Completely remove hidden white boxes behind your logos, or the machine will print a solid white rectangle around your design. -
[ ]9. Keep Lines Thick Enough: Make sure all small text and thin lines are at least 0.02" (0.5mm) thick so our Magic TPU backing powder can stick safely. -
[ ]10. Remove T-Shirt Mockups: Delete all presentation hangers, digital t-shirt folds, and model backgrounds. Upload pure artwork only. -
[ ]11. Check Dimensions in Inches: Use a physical ruler to measure your clothes, and set your design size precisely in inches before exporting. -
[ ]12. Double-Check Spelling: Zoom in and proofread your text. Once printed and pressed under heat, spelling mistakes cannot be fixed. -
[ ]13. Avoid Low-Quality Web Exports: Do not use low-tier compressed free downloads (like basic Canva free exports). Export at maximum quality settings. -
[ ]14. Use the Tetris Method: Fill empty spaces on your sheet with small neck labels, sleeve tags, or mini logos to get more prints for the same price.
