FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Where Is My Order After I Place It?
Once your order is submitted, it enters our production workflow.
Your tracking information is generated once the shipment is processed and scanned by the carrier, allowing you to follow your package through its journey.

2. My Package Shows "Delivered," But I Can't Find It. What Should I Do?
Occasionally, carriers may mark a package as delivered slightly before it is physically located, or the package may have been left in a secure location around the delivery address.
First, check:
- Your front door or designated delivery area
- Side or rear entrances
- Mailrooms or reception areas
- With neighbors or building management
- Any carrier delivery-photo notification
If the package still cannot be located after 24 hours, contact our support team so we can help investigate the shipment.
3. Is My Artwork Private?
Yes.
Your uploaded artwork is used to fulfill your production order. You retain ownership of your intellectual property and creative assets.
Your designs are not transferred to Inkstorm as part of the ordering process.
Your artwork is yours.
4. Can I Change My File After Ordering?
Only if production has not yet started.
Because Inkstorm operates with a high-speed production workflow, orders can move into production quickly.
Once your artwork has entered the printing stage, the order generally cannot be modified or replaced.
That's why your final pre-upload check matters.
Before submitting:
- Check your dimensions
- Verify your resolution
- Confirm transparency
- Proofread every word
- Remove mockups
- Check spacing
- Confirm the artwork is the correct version

5. How Does Free Shipping Work?
Orders over $69.90 qualify for free shipping according to Inkstorm's current shipping policy.
Orders below the free-shipping threshold may be subject to the applicable shipping charge shown at checkout.
Always check the final shipping cost displayed before completing your order.
6. What Fabrics Work With Inkstorm DTF Transfers?
DTF is one of the most versatile apparel decoration technologies because transfers can be applied to a wide range of textile substrates.
Inkstorm DTF transfers can be used on:
- 100% Cotton
- 100% Polyester
- Cotton/Poly Blends
- Tri-Blends
- Canvas
- Nylon
- Performance Apparel
However, different fabrics require different heat, time, and pressure parameters.
Do not use one universal heat-press setting for every garment.

7. What Heat Press Settings Should I Use?
This is one of the most important questions in DTF production.
The correct temperature, time, and pressure depend on the fabric you're pressing.
As a general Inkstorm starting point:

| Cotton & Heavy Fleece | 300–320°F | 12–15 sec | Heavy |
| Cotton/Poly Blends | 285–300°F | 10–12 sec | Medium |
| Polyester & Synthetics | 265–275°F | 8–10 sec | Medium-Light |
Before applying the transfer, pre-press the garment for approximately 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and flatten the fabric surface.
Then:
Press → Open → Hot Peel → Final Seal
Inkstorm's hot-peel workflow allows the film to be removed immediately while hot, followed by a short final seal.
Always follow the specific parameters supplied for your transfer and garment combination.
8. Why Doesn't Inkstorm Guarantee an Exact Delivery Date?
Because production and transportation are two different stages.
Inkstorm controls the manufacturing timeline, but once a package leaves our facility, transit can be affected by factors outside our control, including:
- Carrier delays
- Weather
- Customs
- Regional disruptions
- Peak shipping periods
- Address-related delivery issues
We believe in giving brands realistic delivery expectations rather than promising a date we cannot control.
9. Will DTF Prints Crack or Fade?
When correctly produced, applied, and cared for, Inkstorm DTF transfers are engineered for excellent durability.
Our production system combines:
High-opacity color + flexible TPU adhesive + controlled curing + correct heat-press application.
The final result depends not only on the transfer itself, but also on correct application.

10. Can I Cancel My Order?
Custom DTF transfers are produced specifically for the artwork and specifications submitted by the customer.
If production has not yet started, contact us immediately to see whether cancellation is still possible.
Once a custom order has entered production, cancellation or refund options may no longer be available because the product has already been manufactured specifically for your order.
The faster you contact us, the better.
11. What Happens If There Is a Production Problem?
If there is a confirmed manufacturing defect or technical production error on our side, contact our support team as soon as possible.
We will review the issue and work toward an appropriate resolution.

12. What File Format Works Best for DTF Printing?
For best results, prepare your artwork as a:
300 DPI Transparent PNG
Your artwork should have:
- 300 DPI resolution
- Transparent background
- Clean edges
- Correct physical dimensions
- No mockup elements
- No hidden white background
- No unnecessary semi-transparent effects
- Correct spelling and typography

13. Can I Put Multiple Designs on One Gang Sheet?
Absolutely.
This is one of the biggest advantages of a gang sheet.
You can combine different artwork on the same sheet, including:
- Main front graphics
- Large back graphics
- Sleeve hits
- Pocket logos
- Neck labels
- Brand marks
- Small promotional graphics
- Multiple colorways

Place your largest graphics first.

14. Why Do Apparel Brands Prefer Hot-Peel Transfers?
Because time is money on the production floor.
Traditional cold-peel workflows require the operator to wait for the transfer to cool before removing the film.

HOW TO UPLOAD YOUR GANG SHEET CORRECTLY
Most DTF problems don't begin on the printer.
They begin before the printer ever sees the file.
A design can look perfect on your monitor and still produce disappointing results when printed if the file contains incorrect resolution, hidden backgrounds, poor transparency, incorrect dimensions, or unsuitable artwork.
That's why we recommend completing a final technical audit before clicking Upload.
THE FINAL INKSTORM FILE CHECKLIST
🟢 300 DPI Resolution
Use genuine high-resolution artwork.
Do not take a small image and simply upscale it to 300 DPI.
🟢 Transparent PNG
Your final artwork should have a genuinely transparent background.
Check for hidden white boxes or unwanted background pixels.
🟢 Correct Dimensions
Your artwork should be created at the actual physical size you intend to press.
Don't guess.
Measure your garment.
Then size your artwork accordingly.
🟢 Clean Edges
Inspect your artwork at 100% zoom.
Look for:
- Pixelated edges
- Unwanted halos
- Stray pixels
- Semi-transparent artifacts
- Jagged typography
🟢 Readable Text
Small typography needs special attention.
Make sure letters remain clearly defined at the final physical print size.
🟢 Proper Spacing
Maintain the required spacing between individual graphics so they can be separated safely during finishing.
For Inkstorm layouts, follow the 0.5-inch spacing guideline.
🟢 Avoid Uncontrolled Transparency
Be careful with:
- Low-opacity shadows
- Smoke effects
- Faded edges
- Semi-transparent gradients
These effects can interact differently with a DTF white underbase than they appear on your monitor.
If you're using transparency intentionally, inspect the final artwork carefully before uploading.
🟢 No Screenshots
Never use a phone screenshot or website screenshot as your production artwork.
Screenshots are rarely suitable for premium apparel printing.
🟢 No Mockups
Don't upload the shirt mockup.
Don't upload the model.
Don't upload the digital hanger.
Don't upload the presentation background.
Upload the artwork.
🟢 Proofread Twice
This sounds obvious.
It isn't.
Check every:
- Word
- Number
- Logo
- Slogan
- Brand name
- Sleeve message
- Neck label
Once the transfer has been printed, a typo becomes a physical product.
